On Thursday January 22, 2004, there was a parenting night at Somerville Road. Somerville Road teachers who were not presenting helped take care of the children with art activities and reading while the parents went to activities, including how to help their children do better in school, how to help with homework, and how to read test scores. Food was provided for the parents and children who attended. It was a great learning experience for all involved.
