Keep records of all foods eaten for one day; circle the foods students think are healthy; date this list and save it until the end of the unit (When students look back at their lists, will they still think the same foods are healthy?)

Interview a local health inspector to find out how the ratings for public food services were established

Research food dehydration; use dehydrator to dry "bananas"; observe change in food's physical properties

Research dehydration; preservation of past and present; compare drying methods; graph, diagram, and present results
