Mission

The mission of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) is to support the technology needs of the students, teachers, and administrators of the Decatur City Schools. Technology support includes hardware and software acquisition, software/hardware training, development of both short and long range technology plans and the investigation of emerging technologies. Additionally, OIT provides Internet access services, hardware repair and maintenance, file server support, LAN/WAN management and curricular materials that assist in the use of technology in the classroom and media center.
