Mrs. Maples has served the Decatur City School system as Finance Director since 2001.  Mrs. Maples’ experience prior to that time included auditing public schools and governmental agencies.

Mrs. Maples holds a B.S. in Accounting from Western Kentucky University and is a Certified Public Accountant.  Mrs. Maples is an active member of the Alabama Association of School Business Officials and has obtained certification as Chief School Finance Officer.

Mrs. Maples and her husband Tommy have four children.  They live on a farm in Limestone County where they raise Registered Angus cattle.  Mrs. Maples and her family attend the Elkmont Church of Christ.
