Hands-On Activity Science Program
(HASP)
HASP is a nationally recognized model for science instruction.
This project has been supported by local, state and federal funds
including grants from the National Science Foundation. Teachers
use inquiry-based strategies that enable students to explore the
natural world through classroom activity by using a hands-on approach.
Students have the opportunity to work with many modules from "The
Life Cycle of Butterflies" to "Magnets" and "Motors." The HASP
program is in all elementary and middle schools in the Decatur
City Schools System.
