WEEC (Wetlands Edge Environmental Center)

Wetlands Edge Environmental Center (WEEC), a partnership formed between Decatur City Schools and BP, provides hands-on inquiry-based environmental education opportunities across the K-12 curriculum. Programs are specifically tailored to each grade level and reflect Alabama Course of Study and National Science Standards requirements. Student activities utilize the many living exhibits inside the center as well as BP’s 500 acres of diverse habitats. Additional information about WEEC may be found at www.weec.dcs.edu.
