Welcome to Decatur, and welcome to the Decatur City Schools web site. As a parent and an educator, I can say with confidence that there is no better community, or school system, in Alabama in which to raise your children. Decatur is consistently among the top five school systems in the state in per pupil expenditures. We are among an elite group of U.S. school systems which have been recognized by School Match as an outstanding system; and this is our tenth consecutive year to receive this honor.
