CARD MAKING WITH RUBBER STAMPS

Create your own greeting cards and notepads by using card stock and rubber stamps.  Great for teacher, birthday or holiday gifts. Different rubber stamping techniques will be taught.

In this course students will learn to use Microsoft Word to create one-page flyers, two-sided materials, tri-fold brochures, make greeting cards and learn how to make a newsletter.  Also covered will be how to assemble brochures and cards for two-sided printing.  Previous Word experience is required.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER WORKSHOP

Survival guide for substitutes!  This class is designed to equip substitute teachers with information and skills to be successful in this important position.  Topics will include preparing paperwork; positive techniques for classroom management; discipline; what a substitute should expect; and meeting the expectations of teachers and principals.  Elementary School Principals and Secondary Principals from Decatur City Schools will present.  Applications to become a substitute teacher will be available.  Participation in class will be recognized on Decatur City Schools’ substitute list.
