Admission & Attendance Information

Hour of Operation

The Extended Day Enrichment Program (EDEP) will begin as soon as school is dismissed and students must be picked up no later than 5:45 p.m. The late pick-up fee is $5.00 for each 5 minutes of time the child is kept. Consistent late pick-ups (three or more) may result in termination of services.

Schedule

The Extended Day Program will adhere to the same calender that the Decatur City School System follows. If schools are closed due to holidays or inclement weather, the Extended Day Program will not offer services and no fee will be charged for these days.

Admission Requirements

Students should be enrolled in the school where the Extended Day Program is offered.

Fees and Attendance

The fee for full-time students (3 days or more) is $35.00 weekly. The part-time fee is $15.00 for one (1) day and $20.00 for two (2) days. For full-time students there is a discount if there is more than one child in the family that participates in the Extended Day Enrichment Program. There is no discount for part-time siblings. Employees of the Decatur City School System receive free care on Mondays until 4:00 p.m. and a 30% discount for full-time services.

Checks should be made payable to Decatur City Schools. A thirty dollar ($30.00) fee will be charged if a check is returned for any reason. Parents/Guardians are responsible for having the correct amount of money when making payments. No change will be available.

The prepayment policy will be strictly enforced this year. Payments should be made on your child's first day of attendance. Balances will not be allowed to become more than a week delinquent. After that time, your child will be sent to the office to contact their parent/guardian for pickup.

Pick Up Procedures

Students will be checked out only by those persons who are authorized to do so on the registration form. For safety purposes, all parents/guardians must sign their children out daily. If a different adult is to pick up a child, a written note giving permission must be given to the Site Coordinator prior to pick up time.
