Welcome to Mrs. Farris's Kindergarten Class

In Mrs. Farris's kindergarten class we start each school day in a happy way! We get excited about learning as we sing and dance, clap our hands and chant to the beat of the ABCs. We begin by talking about how to treat others in our class. We are learning to share and take turns, to listen to others and to help others. Our class goal is to be a good friend. Each day we try to be the best we can be by practicing responsibility and cooperating with our classmates.

We shine like star students in September learning how to play together and work with each other as we use the alphabet to begin reading and writing. We love to draw, color and express ourselves with paint! Our favorite centers are building blocks and the playhouse. We enjoy learning about animals, bugs, our bodies and the earth. By May, we grow into good citizens and sensational students as we look forward to continuing our love of learning in a fabulous first grade!
