"Alabama State Council on the Arts"
The Alabama State Council on the Arts is a diligent and hard-working
group of professionals dedicated to the growth and support of the arts in Alabama. They are knowledgable resources
and conduct some workshops, but mostly "support" numerous workshops through grants. The Alabama State Council on the Arts promotes the integregation of arts into all curriculum areas. The Council continues to increase public awareness and show the correlation of the arts as a main ingredient in the recipe for a well-rounded education.
**Mr. Albert Head does a fantastic job of guiding the Council and keeping abreast of the happenings within our state. He has sent us a letter congratulating our program on our local newspaper coverage and the promotion of arts through our Fine Arts Program here at Gordon Bibb. He commended our community for their continued support of the arts.
**Ms. Barbara Edwards has been my right-hand since the beginning of my tenure at Gordon-Bibb. She has patiently and helpfully answered numerous questions about our grant application. She has called, sent e-mails and even faxed us pertinent information needed to successfully complete our grant application. A special word of thanks to her for being my mentor the first crucial years of our program's development.
**Ms. Diana Green has moved into the position of Arts-In-Education and has also endured phone calls and questions regarding our grant application submission. She so graciously e-mailed me a computer friendly application that allowed me to save valuable time by using a word processor instead of the "old-fashioned" typewriter.
