VALENTINES FOR VETERANS 2007 |

We had to sort all our valentine cards from Ben. Davis and Leon Sheffield into 18 boxes that were sent to active duty troops. Some of those sent boxes were part of our extended school family and members of the Alabama National Guard. The students also collected hard candy, toiletries, and assorted items to send with their cards. This was a school family project that gave us a great feeling of accomplishment. | |

Thank you posters were made by the Creative Crew, signed by the students and sent in packages to the Veterans in Alabama. |
Below are some pictures that were sent with emails from the soldiers that received our packages. Many thanks to the Alabama National Guard and families who gave us the addresses. A wall of thank you notes and emails covered my windows for the students to read and see whom they have touched with their art and goodwill. |
