Thank you for taking the time to check out our web page. I think that you will be impressed with what you find. Our faculty & staff is a top notch group. We have the best students and parents found anywhere. Together, we form the extended family called Julian Harris Elementary.

I am a firm believer that it requires a team effort to provide an outstanding education for our children. Parents, students, teachers, support staff, central office staff, & community volunteers must all work together to create a positive, challenging learning environment. We have all of those elements in place at Julian Harris and I invite you to come and join us.

Our school is a K-5 Elementary School of approximately 495 students and 45 staff persons. Our school hours are 7:50 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. We provide a well-rounded curriculum with emphasis on Reading and Math. Our goal is for all of our students to perform at or above grade level in each of these two areas. You, as parents, can help out with this goal. Please take time to do some of the following with your children: Read with them, let them see you reading, discuss different ways that you use mathematics in your daily life, and let them solve routine problems that utilized math/logic (ex. It's 5:00 p.m., we have to be at the soccer game at 6:30 p.m., how much longer until we have to be there?). We, as parents, are the most effective teachers & we are teaching children something all the time whether we realize it or not. Let's take advantage of this "teaching time" and make a positive impact on our children.
