*** Due to Flu & Cold Season here are a few reminders about school policies on wellness/sickness****
My child is sick. Should he/she come to school?
Determining if your child should come to school or not, because they are sick, can be difficult. Here are a few of our guidelines to follow:
*FEVER: If your child has a fever of 100.0F or higher, they should not come to school. If they come to school with a fever of 100.0F or higher, they will be sent home. Your child should be fever free for at least 24 hours (without the use of fever reducing medications, such as Tylenol or Motrin) before returning to school.
*VOMITING: It is recommended that a student has not vomited for 24 hours, can eat solid foods (for at least 2 meals), and does not have abdominal pain or fever prior to returning to school.
*COUGH: Coughing, every once in a while, should be fine, however, a cough that is chronic can spread germs and be disruptive in a classroom. Please take this into consideration when deciding to send your child to school. Remember, if you send cough medicine to school for your child, you MUST have a medication authorization form signed by a doctor
