Fourth Grade

Classroom!

We are a very busy group! When you visit our classroom you will see lots of new and exciting things happening! We are a close community of learners. We begin each day with our data collection and calendar activities. You will find lots of cooperative learning, reading, writing, and math! We have centers galore. We love to study about our great state and learn of the many important people that live in Alabama. We love to explore! Science units are lots of fun in Fourth Grade. We make visits to the Wetlands. It is a wonderful place to visit. This trip allows us to experience hands-on activities.

I believe that every child can learn. Learning takes place in a secure positive learning environment. I use a variety of teaching methods to meet the needs of each child. I feel that a positive Parent- Teacher Connection is very important to the success of a child. Encourage your child to do their best in school. An education should be a very important part of a child's life. It is important that a child have a positive attitude about their education. A good Parent-Teacher connection will assure success in this area. 

Personal Information:

 I love children. I have been married to my husband Mark for 24 years.  We hove two children, Adam and Marcie. I love animals. We have three dogs--a Jack Russell, Sadie, a Jack Russell, Rascal, and a Dash-hound, Rosco. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Athens State. I received my Master's Degree from UAB. I am presently working on a AA Degree from UAB. I LOVE ALABAMA FOOTBALL!!! ROLL TIDE!!!!
