Benitha Jones

Welcome to Mrs. Jones' fifth grade classroom, where learning is our top priority. Each day, we engage in interactive learning adventures. We spend our days using computers, reference sources, literature, and hands- on activities to master skills and learn new concepts. Our primary focus is on improving proficiency in reading, writing, and math while also enhancing our vocabulary growth. Additionally, we enjoy learning about our history and how things work through our social studies and science units of study. In our class, we also focus on life skills such as communication, team work, and attaining goals that we set. Character education is everybody's business, and we strive daily to develop character that withstands even when nobody is looking.
Parents, I welcome and value your input, expertise, and support. Together, we can create the best educational experience for your child. There are many opportunities for you to volunteer, some which may not even require you to come to the school. If you have an area of expertise or extra time to invest, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Please feel free to visit with us anytime!
