Ms. Lowery's Home Page

Welcome to Kindergarten in Ms. Lowery’s classroom. The theme in our room is bugs. We’re “buggy” about learning. Each day is a new learning experience for the students and teacher. Parents are important to us and we invite you to come and share your time and talents with us.
A Closer Look
Students will be given opportunities to participate in a variety of
activities, including work, play, quiet and active. Some work will include speaking, listening, writing,
counting, number concepts, reading skills, motor skills, science, health,
social studies, and arts and crafts.
There will also be opportunities to play with blocks, puzzles, beads,
and many other materials. Students
will attend classes such as Library, Computer Lab, Music, P.E., Art, and
Guidance with a different teacher for each of these classes.
Attendance: Attending
school is very important. Regular attendance at school is vital to your
child’s progress. When a
child is absent, he/she must bring a note explaining the reason for the
absence.
Progress Reports: I
will keep you informed of your child’s progress through report cards and
conferences. Newsletters,
calendars, and notes will inform you of school events. Please check your child’s
backpack for such items.
Reading to Your Child
Remember to read to your
child. Reading is the Way to
Grow! Your child will bring home a reading journal. Please record all books read at home
and return the journal. I’m
counting on your help with this small task. Book Buddies will come home with the reading journals.
