When parents and members of the school community work together as a TEAM it helps to ensure the success of children at school and throughout their lives. Here are a few ways you can help your child have a successful year.

 

   Make sure your child attends school regularly and is on time.

 

   Ask to see your child's schoolwork on a regular basis.

   

  Read to your child and encourage your child to read to you.

 

  Praise and reward your child for accomplished goals.

 

  Discipline your child fairly and consistently.

 

  Be selective about what your child watches on T. V.

 

  Keep your child home if she/he is not well.

 

  Be available to help your child with homework.

 

  Make sure your child dresses appropriately for the weather.

 

  Notify the teacher of any health or emotional concerns.

 

  Make sure your child eats balanced meals and receives no less                than 8 hours of sleep each night.

 

  Get involved in your child's education by volunteering in his/her

      classroom and participating in school activities. 

TESTING TIPS

Students will be tested during April 1, 2008-April 9, 2008.

Your child should:

1. Come to school on time each day.

2. Get a good night's sleep the day prior to testing.

3. Eat a good breakfast each day.

4. Dress comfortably and appropriately.

5. "BEE" encouraged by you to do his/her BEST JOB!
