My name is Pamela Allen and I have enjoyed teaching for the past 17 years in the Decatur City School System. I received my Bachelor's of Science degree and my Master's degree from Alabama A&M University. I have served on the Building Leadership Team, the SACS Committee, and on the Parental Involvement Committee along with many other school-wide committees. I am a member of the National Education Association, the Alabama Education Association and the Decatur Education Association.

 

About Reading Recovery:

Reading Recovery is a short term early intervention program for young readers who are experiencing difficulty in their first year of reading instruction. It is designed to serve the lowest achieving readers in first grade. Reading Recovery can intervene in an at-risk child's reading instruction and enable them to become independent readers and writers.
