Austin's Partner-In-Education
3M has been active as Austin High School's Partner-In-Education for several years. 3M generously provides employee support as well as financial support of Austin High School. The Partners-In-Education Team consists of both 3M Employees and AHS Faculty members with a shared commitment to educational excellence. Our goal is to establish and maintain close connections between Austin and 3M so that we each have a better understanding of each other's goals, values, and activities.
Some of out projects include: Providing a "Daily Planner" to all Students/Faculty; hosting "Plant Tours" for Students/Faculty' conducting "Mock Interviews" to help students better understand the concept of interviewing for a job; Job Shadowing; providing CPR and Fire Extinguisher training to Faculty; providing 1st Aid Kits for the buildings, support of Austin students through out participation in the Annual Can-A-Thon, Blood Drive, and recycling of phonebooks.
