Reminder to FCCLA members going on trip to the Morgan County meeting next Friday, Feb. 15^th. Ms. Gonzalez needs all permission slips turned in by tomorrow please.

There will be an Art Contest open to all Austin students sponsored by 3M. The theme is: Helping Hands, Medium: Any 2D media such as ink, pencil, paint, pastel, charcoal, etc. No digital work. Size: Any dimension from 8 x 10 up to 18 x 24. Deadline: March 31, 2008. Entries must be original artworks. Please see MS. McDonald in J-08, or Mrs. Doran in V-13 if you have any questions, or to turn in work.

All senior National Honor Society members need to go by Ms. Stroh’s room in E-2 to pick up the graduation stole order form. All forms must be returned to Ms.Stroh by March 1^st.

Attention juniors: If you have taken Medical Care Careers I or II and would like to apply for the Medical Professions III class next year, you need to see Mrs. Tucker ASAP for an application. Applications are due February 22. No late applications will be accepted.

Key Club members who have not yet signed up for Pancake Day need to come by Mrs. Lawrence’s room S201 sometime today and do so.

Attention Jr. Civitan Members: T- Shirts are in. They are $15. You may pay Mrs. McNair or Mrs. Wright as soon as possible. You will need your shirt for the upcoming project on Thursday, Feb. 14^th. I f you are not sure if you ordered a t-shirt, you must see Mrs. Beck in the V-building. If you plan to participate in the Valentine’s Day project at the nursing homes, go by Mrs. McNair’s room (S-113) and pick up a permission slip and sign up no later than tomorrow morning, Feb 8^th. No Exceptions! We must get an accurate count of students for bus reservations!!!. Bring all your goodies to Mrs. McNair’s room.

All freshman, sophomore and junior class favorites will have your picture made during club time this Wednesday during club time. Junior Class favorites – A-Club, Sophomore Class favorites- B-club, Freshman class favorites – C-Club. All pictures will be made in the Vocational building…..meet in room V-03 at the beginning of club time. If you have ant questions please see Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Vaughn in the BE building.

On Sunday, February 10 at 2:00 in the Austin High Auditorium the band will be presenting a Prom Preview Fashion Show. This will be an opportunity for students and parents to see this year’s prom and formal fashions on real people. Students from Austin, Decatur, and West Morgan will serve as models to show you the latest in fashion for both men and women. There will also be a silent auction for a Vera Bradley purse, a DVD player, and digital camera and other items of interest. Door prizes of I-tune cards, Regal Movie passes, gift cards, and other items will be available. Tickets are $5.00 and are available from band junior and seniors and will also be on sale in the cafeteria during lunch on Thursday and Friday.
