ANNOUNCEMENTS
September 21, 2007
- Attention current FCCLA members… We have a car wash tomorrow Express Oil
Change on the Beltline from 9 – 5. Bring a bucket and a sponge.
- Freshman boy’s basketball tryouts will be Sept. 25th and 26th.
In order to tryout you must sign up with Coach Garth today.
- Jr. Civitan members or those who would like to become members need to pay
their dues by the first club meeting Sept. 26th. You may pay
either Mrs. Wright or Ms. McNair. Dues are $15.00 for returning members and
$20.00 for new members
- Attention seniors: There will be a class meeting with Campus Recognition
on Monday, at 10:30 in the auditorium. There will be an announcement over
the intercom, dismissing you from class. During the meeting you will receive
packets of information concerning orders for your senior graduation
supplies. Please make every effort to be here. If you have any questions,
see Mrs. Thompson in the drama room.
- Nominations for Homecoming are Monday or Tuesday of next week during your
English classes. Teachers, Mrs. Olinger or Mrs. Montgomery will have info in
your boxes by Friday.
- Anyone interested in traveling to Mexico this summer, please see one of
the Spanish teachers for details. There will be an informational meeting for
parents and students on Thursday, September 20th at 6:30 PM in
room E-16. Travel is open to anyone who would like to go. You do not have to
be in Spanish class to go on this trip.
- The varsity and JV volleyball teams beat Decatur and Athens yesterday.
Varsity improves to 27-12. Both teams will play in tournaments on Saturday.
Go Lady Bears. The next match against Decatur has been rescheduled for Oct.
3rd. Please make a note of this.
- Any sophomore interested in trying out for Key Club needs to see Coach
Lawrence in E-17 for an application. Applications are due back in by Friday.
- Juniors are reminded the kick-off meeting for Jr. Class magazines sales is
next Tuesday, 9/25. Teachers with Jrs. Please come for crowd control if
possible.
- There will be a freshman class float meeting this Saturday from 3-6 at the
Olingers. Please see the bulletin board for details and directions. Bring
money to purchase supplies.
- Attention Sr. Class: There will a meeting this Sunday, Sept. 23rd
at 1:00 to make preparations for our homecoming float. The meeting will be
at Trent Standridge’s house. See Trent for directions. The purpose of the
meeting is to collect money for the materials and finalize all plans for the
float. This will be your last homecoming float so tell everyone in the sr.
class to come to the meeting and be a part of our winning tradition. In
order to build a great float, we need lots of students and parents working
