ANNOUNCEMENTS
October 2, 2007
- Students interested in joining Interact Club should pick up an application
from Mrs. Duffey is S-4 by Oct 2nd. Essays and applications are
due Oct. 3rd at the first Interact meeting. Interact is a service
club open to all grades.
- Reminder to FCCLA Hospice Committee members – you must turn in your
release forms by tomorrow to Ms. Gonzalez or Mrs. Edwards. Mandatory meeting
tomorrow after school from 3-5.
- Students don’t forget to buy your spirit flip-flops from Ms. Gonzalez,
Ms. Gregg, or Mrs. Edwards in Jones Gym. They are just $10.00.
- Heads up all you Black Bear fans! If you want to read about the football
team, then buy an Accent in the cafeteria this Thursday and Friday for only
25 cents.
- Attention Mu Alpha Theta members: We will be voting on officers Wednesday
during club time. If you wish to vote, please be sure to attend. Also, Mrs.,
Hopkins will be collecting returning member dues of $5.00 during club time.
Remember to bring your money.
- The volleyball team will be playing Decatur on Wednesday after C club
time. You can buy your ticket during lunch starting today. Ticket prices are
$2.00. We need your help to beat DHS!
- National Honor Society members are needed at the Habitat Youth United
Build site Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 4:00 for a picture with major donor
contribution. Wear Habitat shirt, or AHS shirts.
- Any students interested in trying out for the girls or boy’s tennis
teams need to See Coach Walker in S-14 to sign up.
- The PSAT/NMSQT will be given on Wednesday, Oct. 17th. Any
junior interested in taking the PSAT needs to register with Mrs. Carroll by
Oct. 11th.
- The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards: If you’ve made a difference
by volunteering in your community over the past year, you could win $1000.
and a fabulous trip to Washington, D.C.. For additional information and an
application, please see Mrs. Carroll in the guidance office before October
24th.
- The cast of The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf will NOT meet today.
