- Seniors please remember that your graduation supply orders and money will
be taken up next Wednesday, Oct. 10th. We will not be in school
Monday or Tuesday due to the fall holiday, so you MUST remember to bring
your order forms and money. If you need an order form, see Mrs. Thompson in
A-4.
- Anyone interested in travel to Mexico who did not come to the
informational meetings needs to see Mrs. Lyles today in E-14. Teachers if
you think you would like to travel with us, please email Mrs. Lyles or Mrs.
Turner today.
- The lady bears volleyball team is the new Morgan County Champions. The
varsity team went 4-0 yesterday to win the tournament. Their record is now
37-18! Congratulations to the girls that made the All-Tournament team:
Lindsey Rogers, Brittney Smith, and Shara Foster and the entire team.
Tomorrow the Lady Bears will play in the Athens Optimist Tournament.
- Officers for this year’s Mu Alpha Theta club: Pres – Hunter Merrill, V
– Pres. –Xalyn Peek, Sec. – Steven Wright, and Treas. – Rachael
Tuell. Mrs. Hopkins will need to meet with you on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 7:30
inM-11. Be sure to put this on your calendar.
- Any HOSA member that did not attend this week’s meeting needs to come by
Mrs. Tucker’s room and pick up an information sheet about the field trip.
The deadline for the first deposit is Oct. 24th. No exceptions!!
- Any students interested in trying out for the girls or boy’s tennis
teams need to See Coach Walker in S-14 to sign up.
- The PSAT/NMSQT will be given on Wednesday, Oct. 17th. Any
junior interested in taking the PSAT needs to register with Mrs. Carroll by
Oct. 11th.
- The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards: If you’ve made a difference
by volunteering in your community over the past year, you could win $1000.
and a fabulous trip to Washington, D.C.. For additional information and an
application, please see Mrs. Carroll in the guidance office before October
24th.
- JV Boys basketball tryouts will be Oct. 11 and 12 at 3:30 in the aux. gym.
Students must sign up with Coach Garth or Coach Henson by Oct. 10th.
- On Wednesday, Oct. 10, Coach Watkins 1st period driver
education class should report to the Simulations Room. Also, on Wed., Coach
Wright’s 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th
period classes report to the Simulation room.
