• Reminder to FCCLA members who have not completed TB testing or Hospice Training and have turned in forms to do so. The training and testing retakes are today from 3 – 5 PM. Also, the children’s first committee meets 3-5 and Ms. Gonzalez needs to see the officers briefly after school.
• Austin Girl’s soccer tryouts will be held November 26^th through November 30^th from 3:30 – 5:00 at the Betty Street Fields. All girls interested in trying out MUST see Coach Kusta in E-10 before Friday, November 16^th, for forms and further details.
• Mu Alpha Theta t-shirt orders are due by Thursday, Nov. 15 at 3:15 PM. Bring the order form and the money before or after school or between classes to Mrs. Hopkins’ room M-11. Do not come during class. You must be a current member of Mu Alpha Theta who has paid this year’s dues to purchase a shirt.
• All JSA dues need to be paid by next week. We will be voting during the next club meeting on Dec. 5^th. Pay dues to Mrs. Burgreen.
• Spanish Honor Society please see Mrs. Turner or Mrs. Wiggins to place an order for club t-shirts.
• The Austin Accent will be on sale this Thursday and Friday during lunch for 25 cents. Buy an Accent and catch up on the latest news!
• National Honor Society members: Painting the Habitat house interior will be this Saturday from 8:00 til finished! Please sign up outside M-13 by 3:00 Thursday. Directions to worksite are also available.
• HOSA members going on the Memphis trip are reminded that their 2^nd $10.00 deposit is due today. HOSA members going to Wallace State in December need to have their permission forms turned in to Mrs. Tucker by Friday. NO LATER.
• Seniors…the last day to turn in orders for make-up picture proofs is Friday, 11/16. You may turn the proof packet with payment to the main office, or return it to Waldrup Studios in Huntsville. If you just want to select the picture for the yearbook from your proofs, mark your selection on the proof envelope in the section by the name and order instructions and return it to the office by Friday.
• Don’t forget the AHS Drama Departments production of “The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf” this coming Sunday, Nov 18^th at 2 PM and Monday, Nov 19^th at 7 PM. General admission is $4.00 an tickets will be available at the door. The hour long show features a host of nursery rhyme characters as well as the 3 pigs and the wolf.
• Mrs. Hodges’ senior class need to meet in the English Computer lab today.
• Homecoming pictures may be picked up in Mrs. Olinger’s room M-10 today between classes. Please do not interrupt her class.
• Softball evaluation and tryouts for the Austin Varsity and JV teams will be held starting Nov. 26 at the Austin softball field. New players coming out should report at 3:30 and will finish about 5:00each day for FIVE DAYS. Basketball players wanting to come out, will tryout after your basketball season ends. The teams will be selected after five days of tryouts.
• Students who need a schedule change for Second Semester MUST see their Guidance Counselor immediately. The counselor will give you a Schedule Change Request form that must be completed with appropriate signatures and an explanation for the request.

Valid reasons for a schedule change: Already passed Second Semester of course you are currently taking. Need to pass Second Semester of a course you are not currently taking. Add a course required for graduation (seniors). Reasons schedule change requests will be denied: You want a different teacher or class time. The course is too difficult. The move will result in an over-crowed class. Schedule changes for Second Semester must be completed now! Schedule changes may not be available after Second Semester begins and will not be made during the first week of the Second Semester
