FIRST YEAR: INTRODUCTION TO LEADERSHIP EDUCATION AND TRAINING - 6754 During the first year the cadet receives classes on Introduction to JROTC, Leadership, First Aid, Map Reading, Techniques of Communication and How to Study. The desired learning outcomes during this first year is an appreciation of the ethics, values and principles that underlie good citizenship which includes integrity, character and respect for constituted authority.
SECOND YEAR: INTERMEDIATE LEADERSHIP EDUCATION TRAINING - 6749 During the second year the cadet will build upon what was learned the first year to include courses in History, Drug Awareness, Unlocking Your Potential, Marksmanship, and Safety. The desired learning outcomes during the second year are the development of leadership skills and the development of the ability to live and work cooperatively with others.
THIRD YEAR: APPLIED LEADERSHIP EDUCATION AND TRAINING - 6748 During the third year of JROTC the cadet progresses to courses in Applied Leadership, to include, Cadet Challenge, Leadership Lab, U.S. Military History, Technology Awareness, and The Role of the U.S. Armed Forces. The desired learning outcomes include the appreciation of the importance of physical fitness and the development of the ability to think in a logical manner.
FOURTH YEAR: ADVANCED LEADERSHIP EDUCATION AND TRAINING - 6747 During the fourth year the cadet will take courses dealing with the Psychology of Leadership. These include Protocol and Military Etiquette, Unlocking your Potential, and Winning Colors. The desired learning outcomes include the development of basic skills that are necessary in order to work effectively as a member of a team and the understanding of the importance of high school graduation to a successful future.
