Greetings!  I am Cheryl Askew and I have the best job in the world!  I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 18 years; 9 years in Jackson County and the past 9 years with Decatur City Schools.  In addition to Decatur HIgh School, I also serve students at Eastwood and Benjamin-Davis Elementary Schools.  I have both a B.S. degree and a M.Ed. in Speech Pathology.  In 1995, I received an Early Childhood Handicapped Certification and this summer ('06), I completed my Ed.S. in Collaborative Teaching K-6.  All of my degrees, as well as my certification, are from Alabama A&M University.  I am a member of several professional organizations including: American Speech & Hearing Association, Speech & Hearing Association of Alabama and Decatur Association of Professional Educators.

My husband, Ricky, and I have been blessed with 16 wonderful years of marriage.  We are active members of Solid Rock Christian Center.  My favorite hobby is photography.
