Hi! Welcome to my web page. I love teaching and I am beginning my 25th year in Special Education.  I enjoy watching children mature into young adults who become as independent as possible.  It is so rewarding to see students with their first paycheck and the reality of  "I did this myself" shine in their faces.  I have a BA in Special Education and a MA in Special Education, both from The University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!!!!!). I taught eight years in Tuscaloosa, Alabama before moving to Decatur in 1990.  I love teaching at Decatur High School Developmental Program.  I have cheered for the Red Raiders in the past, but my loyalties have recently been split as my two children Will and Katie have become devout Black Bears.
