My name is Patty Laughlin.  My husband Russ and I both graduated from Louisiana State University.  I received my degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation.   Last year I was the adaptive PE teacher at Austin and Cedar Ridge.  This is my first year to teach at Decatur High Developmental. 

Russ and I have called Decatur home for the last 13 years.  We have four children.   Ali, our oldest is a sophomore at LSU majoring in Math.  She will be the manager for the women’s basketball team this year.  Shannon is a junior at DHS and plays volleyball, basketball and Soccer.  Shannon is also a peer tutor here in Developmental.  Jay is a sophomore at DHS.  He plays basketball and baseball for the school.  Will is an eighth grader at Oak Park.  Will plays football and basketball. 

As you can tell our family life revolves around sports.  If we aren’t watching one of our own, we’re watching some sport on espn or traveling together to watch the tigers, or the Saints or the Yankees play.
