Circulation

How many books may I check out?

Students may have 2 books checked out at any given time.

What library items can I check out?

Students may check out any fiction, nonfiction, or biography item located in the Media Center.  Items marked as Reference may be checked out for overnight use. Magazines and other periodicals may not be checked out.

How do I check out?

When you are finished making your selection, bring the books to the Circulation Desk to be checked out. You will need your student Lunch Number to check out books.

How long can I keep the books?

Students can check out books for up to 2 weeks. If you want to keep the books longer, make sure to renew them in the library by the due date.

Where should I return the books?

Books being returned should be placed in the book drop located at the end of the Circulation Desk.

What happens if I turn in a book late?

There are no fines for over due books.  However, if you have an overdue item, you will not be allowed to check out any additional material.

What if I can't find a lost book?

If you cannot return the items before the end of the semester, the items are considered lost. There is a charge of $10 for paperback books and $20 for hardback books which have been lost.  If a book is damaged beyond repair, you will be charged to replace the book.

May I check out other books if I have a late book or fee?

All items must be returned and all fees must be paid before you may check out any other books.
